TROY – On December 20, Miami County Sheriff’s detectives and deputies, with the assistance of the Troy Police Department, executed a narcotics search warrant in the 900 block of Garfield Avenue in Troy.
The search warrant was the culmination of a several months-long investigation into the trafficking of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and marijuana. Fentanyl, methamphetamine, marijuana, scales, and pills were seized during the search warrant. Several baggies containing narcotics were pre-packaged for sale.
Miami County Children’s Services were summoned to the residence due to a 1-year-old and 12-year-old child being present. Children’s Services did remove the children to a family member’s care.
Taken into custody on an arrest warrant for probation violation from a previous drug offense was Jonathan I. Reineke (34) of Troy. Also taken into custody on an arrest warrant for non-support was Jonathan R. Rivers (38) of Piqua. Both were incarcerated in the Miami County Jail without incident.
Detectives will be conferring with the Miami County Prosecutor’s Office reference trafficking in narcotics charges. The investigation is on-going.
