PIQUA – The Piqua Police Department arrested a suspect following a report of shots fired at Bent Tree Apartments Saturday morning.
No one was injured in the incident, which involved shots fired into the air from a handgun following a dispute with a neighbor at about 5:15 a.m. The suspect left the scene, and the Piqua Police Department located the suspect at a family member’s house.
Police officers arrested 40-year-old Dustin Kaeck, and he is being held at Miami County Jail.
Kaeck has been charged with a second-degree felony, discharging a weapon into a habitation, and three first-degree misdemeanors, violating a civil protection order, aggravated menacing and having weapons while intoxicated.
The Piqua Police Department Tactical Response Team and Sidney Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics Team were both deployed though not utilized.
