GREENVILLE – Stelvideo Christian Church will host their annual Memorial Day Service on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Guest speakers will be Clyde M. Hughes and Craig Schmidt.
Immediately following the service at the church, a short ceremony will be held at the Stelvidio Cemetery by the Greenville American Legion Post 140.
Stelvidio Christian Church is located six miles northeast of Greenville near the intersection of Horation-Harris Creek Road and Arcanum-Bears Mill Road.
Clyde Hughes is a former CEO of a small religious denomination. He served as a Medic and Commander’s driver for the Army’s 45th Field Hospital in Italy. He now serves as the Chaplain and Rifleman for the Dayton National Cemetery Honor Squad, Honor Guard in West Jefferson, OH.
Hughes holds a BA Degree from Cedarville University, an MA Degree from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio, and an honorary DD from Heritage Bible College.
He and his wife, Linda, reside in London, OH, near their eight children, 18 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Craig Schmidt served our local community as a firefighter and EMT for 20 years. He has owned and operated Schmidt Photography Studio for the past 25 years.
He became a Volunteer Rifleman for the Dayton National Cemetery Honor Squad in 2024. Craig resides in Greenville, OH, with his wife, Kim, and son, Nick.
