Shots fired at Dylan Williams Memorial Ball Park during weekly soccer match

UNION CITY, Ind. – Union City crews responded to a report of shots fired at the Dylan Williams Memorial Ball Park on Sunday evening.

Union City Director of Public Safety Mark Ater said, nine shots were reportedly fired after a goal was scored during an adult league weekly soccer game. Witnesses reported seeing a Hispanic male flee the scene in a white truck after the shots rang out.

As shown in the video below, you can hear multiple shots fired during the game.

“We have had multiple dealings at this location where they play soccer weekly. We are currently planning a way to ensure the safety of the community,” Ater stated.

There is no information about the identity of the suspect and the Union City Police Department would appreciate any information from the community about the shooter’s name and whereabouts.
