DARKE COUNTY – As part of our commitment to supporting education and empowering women. We are pleased to offer eight (8) $1,500 Educational Scholarships and one (1) $500 Anna Britton Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic years. These scholarships are aimed at providing financial assistance to deserving female students who are pursuing their educational dreams.
An average of 12-15 finalists will be selected from the submitted applications of all high schools in Darke County, Ohio. We will notify the finalist by Monday, March 3rd through email. These finalists are invited to attend our BPW Club meeting on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 6:30 pm. The meeting will be held at Brethren Retirement Community – Chestnut Village Meeting Hall, 823 Chestnut Circle, Greenville, Ohio.
At the March 13th meeting, finalists will join us for dinner and then should be prepared to present a three-minute speech about herself, her goals for the future, and why she is worthy of receiving the scholarship. Following the prepared presentations, each finalist will be asked to answer an impromptu question. The ladies will then be notified by e-mail of the results of the judging. The scholarship money will be sent directly to the recipient’s educational institution.
We understand the importance of education and the challenges that students face in financing their studies. Through these scholarships, we hope to not only support women in achieving their academic goals but also to empower them to make a positive impact on their communities and beyond.
Interested students can find more information about the scholarship opportunities and application details linked below. The deadline for submitting applications is February 21, 2025, so we urge all eligible students to take advantage of this opportunity and submit their applications on time. Download Application
