Sandra Kay Tatum, age 75, of Greenville, passed away at 9:41 am Friday, February 16, 2024, at her residence.
Sandra was born August 18, 1948, in Fonde, Kentucky, to the late Gilbert Lee & Lola Mae (Powers) York. Sandra was also preceded in death by her sisters, Lois Jean Farmer and Agnes Louise DeLoach, and her brother-in-law, Bud Alexander.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 58 years, Roger M. Tatum, whom she married August 4, 1965; daughters & sons-in-law, ReGina M. & Brian Booker of Bradford and Shannon Kay & Tim Hayes of Greenville; grandchildren, Clint Mikesell, Lindsay & Zach Sturwold, Brianna & Jason Adams, Ben Hayes & fiancée, Brittney Gilmore and Andy Hayes; great-grandchildren, Logan Gibson, Cooper Mikesell and one on the way; siblings, Jerry & Connie York of Greenville, Ben & Nihla York of Greenville, Don & Wanda York of Greenville and Ann Alexander of Sidney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sandra retired from Wayne Hospital in Greenville with 33 years of service as a nursing assistant. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Greenville. She loved to read and had a great sense of humor, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville, with Pastor Bill Dobson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Darke County or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
