PIQUA – Mike O’Donnell is stationed today outside of the Piqua Fire Department station on Water Street paying homage to the service of first responders on September 11, 2001.
O’Donnell, who served as a volunteer firefighter in Covington for 36 years before retirement, said he makes a point to have a presence in Piqua every year to reflect on the occasion and help others to remember.
