Rebecca “Becky” Jo Simon, 82, passed away the evening of Wednesday, July 22, 2026, in the loving company of her daughters in Greenville.
Becky was born Feb. 11, 1944, to Wayne and Beatrice Arnett in Greenville, where she lived all but a few years of her life.
Becky loved her family deeply and also loved her neighbors and her hometown. She went out of her way to help those in need and had a heart filled with kindness. She joined the Catholic Church when she and Dave were married, and they raised their three daughters in the church.
Becky is survived by those three daughters, Kim (husband Rick) Ricker, Tina (Kurt) Smith and Tammy (Scott) Underwood; grandchildren Dustin, Chastity, Lindsey, Samantha, Alixandra and Simon, and great-grandchildren Stella, Magnolia, Isabelle, Eli, Bliss, Judah, Finn and Foster. She is also survived by two brothers, Gary, and Larry (Cari).
Becky’s husband Dave passed away March 9, 2021, Siblings Wayne, Jack, Connie and Paula also preceded Becky in death.
Becky enjoyed rides on the Harley with her husband and dancing at the Eagles with friends. Becky’s family and friends will miss her smile and genuineness. Becky had a strong belief in the Lord and her life exemplified “love thy neighbor” as she knew every neighbor’s name and visited them daily.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, with viewing at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 30, and the funeral to follow at 11 a.m.
