VERSAILLES – Prosperity Promotions is the leading sponsor of the second-annual Prosperity Promotions Lady Tiger Classic to be held on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 20, 2025, at Versailles High School.
The one-day high school girls’ event includes some of the area’s finest JV and varsity basketball programs.
Versailles High School is excited to host the Second Annual Prosperity Promotions Lady Tiger Classic. Kim Custenborder was an assistant girls basketball coach for the Lady Tigers for over 15 years. She now serves as an assistant for her son, Connor, at Ansonia High School, where he is in his second year as the Lady Tigers head coach. Both have been instrumental in helping to get the Versailles Lady Tiger Classic started. Kim’s business, Prosperity Promotions, helps other companies promote their business.
“There is going to be a lot of great basketball,” said Connor. “There are a lot of good teams playing, so from the start to the very end, there are going to be a lot of good games. Most of the teams are atop of the rankings in their districts so it’s going to be tournament-like basketball. A lot of good teams that have a chance to win tournament games and go far, a lot of good basketball teams.”
“I have been involved in basketball my entire life, Connor has played and coached,” said Kim Custenborder. “My father, who started Prosperity Promotions, was all about giving back. We always say it’s WWLD (What Would Lou Do).”
“We like to utilize this tournament to honor him (Lou Byron) and let people know what Prosperity is all about,” she continued. “We are combining all of our passions; Prosperity is part of our passion, but basketball and sports are part of our passion, and we want to provide a showcase for girls in this community and this area to showcase themselves and their talents.”
Born from an expertise in building brands, Prosperity Promotions offers unique, quality promotional products, excellent service, and customer-focused marketing. From their office, they are a premier source for branding solutions. They present their Signature Collection, carefully selected promotional items refreshed daily with the newest, hottest, and trendiest products.
Coaches Connor and Kim Custenborder will be coaching the Ansonia Lady Tigers, a team on the rise since the mother-and-son duo arrived on the scene last year. Ansonia takes on the Brookville Lady Blue Devils varsity squad on Monday with a 10 a.m. start time.
“Brookville has some pretty good freshmen, they have a freshman guard that is really doing well,” Kim said. “We’re looking forward to playing them. We are still young. We are excited about participating in this tournament.”
“We like to give back to the community for this tournament specifically,” Kim added. “We give a scholarship to the kids. Last year, Roni Poling from Russia got the college scholarship, and we gave shirts to all the girls who participated. We like to give back to the youth of this area.”

Kim and Connor Custenborder quickly pointed out that Versailles Athletic Director Scott “Scooter” Broerman had the idea for the Versailles Lady Tiger Classic.
“Scooter came up with the idea and was looking for sponsorships, and we wanted to be a sponsor to help them out,” Kim said. “Scott Broerman and Holley Kiser pretty much run the tournament through Versailles Athletic Department.”
The Versailles Athletic Department will provide concessions for the daylong event.
“They are going to provide a lot of concessions and different options for people to eat since it’s an all-day thing,” Kim noted.
Tickets may be purchased online through each team’s school for $10 or $15 at the door on the event day. A portion of ticket sales will go back to participating schools.
