DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Commissioners’ July 2, 2026, regular meeting started at 1:30 P..m. with Commissioners Aultman and Flatter present. Commissioner Combs was off due to his upcoming marriage. We wish him the best! The Commissioners then approved the minutes from June 30th.
The examination and allowance of bills were presented and approved. The vouchers for July 2nd were as follows: General fund was $61,352.98, the outside General funds were $165,057.74, for a total of $226,410.72.
Darke County Grants had 3 fund advances. The first for DLZ Architecture for the Jail study amounted to $16,240.00. The second advance for Branson Seamless Gutter and Cleaning for 110 Cypress Street amounted to $11,700.00, and the third advance for Turn Key for pre-demo and asbestos inspections for 6 properties. The amount was $3,860.00. All were approved.
A Fund transfer for Darke County JFS Child Support for July totaled $60,788.78.
An Agreement with DSEA Services for 203 South Sycamore in Union City for the 2024 Demo Program for asbestos abatement was approved. The total cost of the proposal was $20,930.00.
The Darke County Commissioners and the Grants Department saw revenue and appropriation increases, followed by approval of a fund advance. The appropriation increase was $116,160.56, and the fund advance to cover Level MB for the Darke County Airport Hangar Projecot. The fund advance totaled $110,185.24.
A Proclamation for the Greenville Farm Power of the Past, July 9th – July 16th, 2026, was approved for the Journal.
