PREBLE COUNTY – The Preble County Sheriff’s Office and the Gratis Police Department were dispatched to 6 Parrish Drive in Gratis this morning at approximately 11:53 A.M. on a domestic situation. When the Gratis PD unit arrived on the scene, they located a female in the driveway who had been stabbed.
The victim, a 45-year-old resident of the address, was transported by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton with critical injuries.
A male subject who also resides at the address, was detained and later taken into custody by deputies. Deputies remained on the scene collecting evidence for a couple of hours.
Deputies will forward their investigation to the Prosecutor’s Office for the filing of formal charges.
Gratis Police Department and Gratis EMS responded to the scene.
