“When we started this club, there were just six of us who threw a hundred dollar bill in a hat,” Bill said. “That’s how we started.”

“We started and got incorporated in 1999,” Barbara added. “We have a good crew now as directors, and I am sure this will be carried on into the future.”

While Bill is stepping down expect to see him at future Power of the Past shows.

“There is a lot of history here, including the history that Barb and Bill have with the club and everything they have done to work towards this moment,” Linebaugh stated. “This year’s show has been 25 years in the making, and these two were on the ground floor.”

“This guy has done a fantastic job,” Bob said of Linebaugh.

“He really didn’t want to take this job, but he kinda got drafted,” added Barbara.

“I was voluntold,” Linebaugh chuckled in response.

The 2024 Power of the Past event set a new record with 434 tractors on the grounds at the Great Darke County Fairgrounds.

“We have a fantastic gas engine display; we have a lot of garden tractors on the grounds,” Linebaugh noted. “For our 25th anniversary, we couldn’t ask for better.”
