DARKE COUNTY – Farm Credit Mid-America’s “Fight the Hunger, Stock the Trailer” program has officially kicked off this year! The bar has been raised for the “Fight the Hunger, Stock the Trailer” program from Farm Credit Mid-America as the effort kicks off for its fourth year in 2024.
The program sets the stage for and incentivizes, junior fair youth leaders in counties around Ohio to collect donations for area food pantries. We are empowering the youth on our junior fair board and they are going to get creative on how to bring in non-perishable items. Then they are going to take all the items and donate them to our local community food pantry.
Farm Credit Mid-America has prize incentives available for the top three counties in Ohio: 1st-$5,000, 2nd-$3,500 and 3rd- $1,500. We are asking that you reach out to your other committee members and 4-H clubs and ask members to bring a case of water in to donate to “Stock the Trailer” when they come to their set Skillathon dates.
