ANIMAL COMPLAINT

March 14, 2025 – The caller reported that the neighbor’s dogs attacked her dog. The neighbor was cited accordingly. Report taken.

March 18, 2025 – Caller advised a dog was loose and trying to attack people. The owner was warned about dogs running at large.

March 19, 2025 – Refused caller reported two dogs fighting inside a residence. The dog owner sustained a hand injury while trying to separate the dogs but refused squad.

ASSAULT

March 14, 2025 – The Caller reported that an intoxicated male came to her house and punched her husband in the face. The male was arrested for assault.

March 15, 2025 – Female stated a male she was hanging out with got upset when she was leaving and punched her in the face. He then ripped her wig off that was glued on her head, ripping it in half. The male charged accordingly.

March 17, 2025 – Caller advised her juvenile son was possibly involved in a fight at the park with other juveniles. Investigation pending.

CHILD ABUSE

March 17, 2025 – The caller is a social worker who advised she has a juvenile patient who is potentially being abused by her father.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

March 14, 2025 – The Caller reported two juvenile females were at her house trying to fight her juvenile daughter. Females were gone prior to the officer’s arrival. Their parents were notified. Report taken.

March 15, 2025 – The complainant reported grandson’s ex-girlfriend broke into their residence and assaulted him. The officer responded and spoke with all parties. All parties denied medical evaluation. The suspect was identified and incarcerated.

March 18, 2025 – Officers were dispatched to the address in reference to a disturbance at a local park. Multiple juveniles and adults were charged with disorderly conduct and assault.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE

March 14, 2025 – The Caller reported a male yelling at a female. Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with both parties. Both parties stated they were yelling at their dog that tore up their new mattress. No issues between the subjects.

March 15, 2025 – Physical altercation between brothers. The primary aggressor could not be determined. Males separated for the night. Report taken.

March 15, 2025 – A caller arrived at this residence to pick up their child and found the mother to be near the residence who is not supposed to be around the child per CSB. No criminal actions were found. The caller was referred to civil court.

March 15, 2025 – The complainant reported a male walked into a residence with a baseball bat looking for his brother. Officers responded and located the male at his residence. No acts of violence took place.

March 17, 2025 – The male was upset because his female friend was being mean to him and requested the officer speak with her. I spoke with the female and she advised she would be nice.

March 17, 2025 – Report of a male subject screaming and banging on a female’s vehicle window. After speaking with the female the male is being charged with domestic violence threats.

March 19, 2025 – Dispatched for two males physically fighting. Both males were arrested and charged with domestic violence.

March 19, 2025 – Grandmother and granddaughter involved in altercation. The primary aggressor could not be determined. Granddaughter left for the night. Report taken.

March 20, 2025 – Responded to a residence for a temporary protection order violation. The suspect left the scene prior to officer’s arrival and a warrant was requested.

DRUG COMPLAINT

March 15, 2025 – The caller reported smelling burnt marijuana in the apartment complex. The officer responded and observed no issues. Nothing further.

March 15, 2025 – Female reported the smell of marijuana coming from the apartment complex. The Female was advised to report it to her landlord.

March 20, 2025 – A gas station clerk advised that a customer left suspected drugs on the cashier counter. Report taken.

HARASSMENT

March 14, 2025 – The caller reported receiving unwanted text and phone calls from his grandmother’s ex-husband. The male was contacted and given a verbal warning for telephone harassment.

March 15, 2025 – Report of an ongoing telecommunications harassment issue between two juvenile females. Juvenile female warned for telephone harassment.

March 18, 2025 – Officer responded to the location on the report of a citizen receiving threats over the phone. Contact was made with the suspect who was warned for telecommunications harassment.

March 20, 2025 – Female reported receiving unwanted phone messages from her ex-boyfriend. Contact has not been made with the male. Report taken.

LOST/FOUND PROPERTY

March 19, 2025 – Wallet located and submitted to the police department. Officers were unable to contact the owner, and it was entered into safekeeping. No report taken.

March 19, 2025 – A female located a lost debit card. The card was placed into property.

MENTAL HEALTH

March 14, 2025 – Caller wanted information on how to get her daughter to a mental health institution. The daughter called in stating she had taken many pills and wanted to harm herself. The subject was transported to UVMC for a mental health evaluation.

March 15, 2025 – The caller reported that a male made suicidal comments and was heading to the local bridge. Officers responded and located the male at the bridge. He was transported to UVMC and pink slipped. Report taken.

March 18, 2025 – Officers responded to a verbal argument and found a female with mental health issues. One female was transported to UVMC for a mental health evaluation.

NOISE COMPLAINT

March 14, 2025 – Multiple reports were received of a loud noise in a residential neighborhood, possibly gunshots. Officers checked the area, and could not locate any suspects or evidence of a crime. No report was taken.

PRISONER TRANSPORT

March 15, 2025 – A male was arrested for a Piqua FTA warrant by the Greenville Police Department. Piqua Police Department took custody of the male and transported him to Miami County Jail.

SEX OFFENSE

March 17, 2025 – Caller advised that her ex-boyfriend has been inappropriately texting a juvenile female. Report taken.

March 19, 2025 – A Sane nurse advised an officer of a sex offense. A sexual assault kit was picked up and put into evidence. No suspects at this time.

SPECIAL DETAIL

March 19, 2025 – A canine sweep was conducted at the Piqua High School. No evidence was collected.

SUSPENDED DRIVER

March 15, 2025 – Driver stopped for failure to signal. Driver cited for driving under suspension.

March 18, 2025 – Driver was issued a citation for driving under suspension.

SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT

March 14, 2025 – Dispatched to the area for a welfare check complaint. A City worker reported a homeless subject was acting suspiciously on the bike path. The officer checked the area and was unable to locate the subject.

March 18, 2025 – Female wanted to report an unknown male following her daughter earlier today. Report taken.

March 19, 2025 – A subject was found sleeping in the downtown gazebo. He was advised it was past the park curfew and asked to move along.

March 20, 2025 – A male subject knocked on someone’s door stating someone was trying to kill him. The male was located and no supporting evidence was found for the allegations being made. The male returned to his house.

THEFT

March 15, 2025 – Caller reported an ex-boyfriend stole 2 phones from her residence. Officers attempted to locate the phones but were unable.

March 17, 2025 – Female reported her vehicle was stolen from a local bar. The vehicle was recovered at another local bar. No suspects at this time. Report taken.

March 17, 2025 – Officer responded to the location on the report of a stolen electrical meter from a vacant residence. No suspect information at this time.

March 18, 2025Female reported her washer and dryer were stolen and switched out with another washer and dryer. Report taken.

March 18, 2025 – Caller advised while a disturbance was occurring an unknown individual stole his skateboard.

TRAFFIC CRASH

March 15, 2025 – Dispatched for a traffic crash on the interstate. Upon arrival OSP was on scene and advised our assistance was not needed.

March 20, 2025 – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in a parking lot. The pedestrian was transported to UVMC for injuries. Report taken.

TRESPASSING

March 16, 2025 – A female reported being assaulted by her boyfriend’s father and wanted him trespassed from her property. A trespass warning was given.

March 16, 2025 – A Shell employee reported a male acting strange inside the gas station and wanted him trespassed from the store. The male was given a trespass warning from the property and left the area without incident.

March 17, 2025 – Caller advised a group of juveniles went into an abandoned residence. The juveniles were located and warned for trespassing.

March 18, 2025 – A male was trespassed from a business after employees advised he did a burnout in the parking lot. Report taken.

UNRULY JUVENILE

March 15, 2025 – Female reported her granddaughter left the residence without permission. She was located at a friend’s house and returned home. Report taken.

March 17, 2025 – A woman advised her juvenile daughter had left home without permission. She then called back in and advised her daughter returned home, report was taken.

March 18, 2025 – Caller advised her daughter was being unruly and not listening. Report taken.

March 18, 2025 – The caller advised juveniles were throwing items at her glass door. Juveniles were warned.

March 19, 2025 – A concerned family member reported that their grandchild had not been to school today. A female juvenile was located and returned to the family.

March 19, 2025 – Report of a group of male juveniles mooning vehicles as they pass by. Upon the officer’s arrival, there were no juveniles on the scene.
