THEFT

June 26, 8:26 am, Dispatched to South Downing St. for a female victim who said her vehicle was taken overnight.

June 26, 9:56 pm, Responded to a call referencing male stealing items from Walmart. The male was located and charged accordingly.

June 27, 6:50 pm, Theft. A subject whom a local business is familiar with was observed stealing a zero-turn lawn mower from Home Depot. Investigation pending.

June 27, 4:00 pm, Theft of change and a wallet from a motor vehicle on Ann St. Report taken.

June 28, 4:59 am, a Female subject reported someone got into her vehicle on Park Ave and stole items. The female was reviewing her security footage and compiling a list of items. Case pending.

June 28, 10:25 am, Suspicious. An officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked behind a residence on S Downing St. After an investigation, one subject was arrested for theft.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

June 26, 12:57 pm, Responded to a disorderly conduct incident at Garfield Ave that resulted from a civil dispute. The subject was trespassed from the residence.

TRAFFIC CRASH

June 26, 5:32 pm, Traffic Crash: Hit Skip. Dispatched for a hit-skip traffic accident that occurred at YMCA PI Childcare Center. The suspect was located and cited for the violation. OH-1 completed, photos taken, traffic citation issued.

June 29, 5:02 pm, N Main St and E North St, Traffic crash. Vehicle hit a motorcycle. Driver was cited accordingly.

CIVIL MATTER

June 26, 7:14 pm, Neighbor Complaint. Piqua Village Apartments. The complainant reported that she was having ongoing issues with her neighbor harassing her. Both parties were advised not to interact with the other and report noncriminal matters to the property manager.

June 28, 8:40 am, Officers were dispatched to South St in reference to a civil matter involving a protection order.

June 28, 11:09 am, Civil. A subject from Michigan called in stating that he had traded vehicles with someone from our area who had since refused to pay him. The subject was advised the issue was a civil matter.

June 28, 2:03 pm, Officers spoke to a male subject about issues he has been having with his landlord in reference to eviction notices and maintenance at his residence. Officers advised the male to contact the courts and speak with an attorney.

SUSPICIOUS IN NATURE

June 26, 7:11 pm, Report of a suspicious male speaking with children at the playground on Wood St. Male was located and spoken with and found to be intoxicated.

June 27, 10:03 pm, Female wanted to report a person wearing all black had approached her grandson and told him not to speak. The unknown person then ran away. The area was checked and nobody was located.

June 28, 10:29 pm, Complainant wanted to report that someone set a box of animal feces on their vehicle’s truck. The complainant advised no damage was done but they wanted a report documenting the suspicious incident.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

June 26, 8:20 pm, Responded to Walmart referencing a male leaving the store on a handicapped scooter and stealing it. The scooter was located and returned to the business.

TRAFFIC OFFENSE

June 26, 9:50 pm Vehicle was stopped for improper registration of the vehicle. The driver advised they knew of the error. The driver also advised they were driving under suspension. The driver was cited for driving under suspension.

June 27, 10:11 pm, Observed a vehicle strike a curb at Taco Bell on Covington Ave and blow a tire. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was found not to be impaired and he stated he was not paying attention. The vehicle was parked off the road and no other issues were found.

WELFARE CHECK

June 27, 7:47 am, Dispatched to N Spiker Rd for a welfare check complaint. Dispatch said there was a female wearing a hospital gown in the area. The female was located and transported to the hospital by squad per her request.

TRESPASSING

June 27, 12:22 pm, a Male was seen inside an abandoned house. The male refused to listen to officers’ commands to exit the house. Officers found the subject hiding in an attic.

June 28, 3:45 pm, Trespassing. The complainant advised subjects were swimming in Echo Lake. The officer responded and spoke to the individuals, and advised them it was prohibited to do so. Individuals left the area.

FRAUD

June 27, 4:04 pm, The Complainant called the Police Department about a fraud complaint. The female said her husband’s debit card was used at several local businesses. A suspect was identified and arrested.

June 28, 11:18 am, Fraud complaint. The subject reported an unauthorized charge to his account. The subject was able to provide information on the location of the delivered merchandise. Investigation pending.

ANIMAL PROBLEM

June 27, 7:20 pm, a Female subject located a dog running loose on 2 St. The dog was taken to the shelter.

WARRANT

June 28, 7:39 pm, College St CVS, Pedestrian stop on a male with an active warrant. Drug paraphernalia was found on the subject. The male was arrested and incarcerated.

June 27, 12:22 pm, Christopher L. Leonard, arrested by G S Lotz on Harrison St. Out of county warrant offense, criminal trespass offense, and obstructing official business offense.

June 27, 4:04 pm, Fred H IV Wagner, arrested by G S Lotz at the Piqua police department. Probation/parole violation offense, Misuse of credit card with purpose to violate law offense, and receiving stolen property offense.

June 28, 7:39 pm, Derek J Dorsten arrested by M T Voskuhl at Wood Street Lofts. Failer to appear warrant offense, Drug possession offense, and driving under suspension offense.

June 28, 10:25 am,  Noah S Mills arrested by L T Welbaum at S Downing St. Theft offense.

June 28, 8:57 am, Justin J Ramon arrested by L T Welbaum at N College St. Obstructing official business offense.
