Piqua nips Lady Wave golf team

GREENVILLE – The Lady Wave varsity golf team hosted the Piqua Lady Indians at Turtle Creek Golf Course, dropping a one-stroke 204-205 MVL match.

“This was a tough loss on our home course,” said Lady Wave coach Tracy Haines. “We need to work on our approach shots and putting.”

The Lady Wave were led by Vera Cox with a 41, Sofia Chrisman a 51, Taylor Trissel with a 56 and Callee Moore with a 57.  Also playing for the Lady Wave were Kennedy Schoen with a 67 and Ava Good with a 72.

The Piqua girls were led by Aubree Carroll with a 47, Emery Kuhlman with a 49, and Izzy Thoma and Kaylie Hittle both with a 54.  Also playing were Jenna Snyder with a 55 and Bethany Howard with a 63.

The Lady Wave golf team stands at 3-5 overall and 2-2 in Miami Valley League action…
