OHIO – Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague has recently launched an outstanding program named Ohio Homebuyers Plus. This is an extraordinary opportunity for want-to-be homeowners who are Ohio residents at least 18 years of age and have their primary residence within the State of Ohio.
This program offers specialized, tax-advantaged savings accounts for Ohioans, having access to above-market interest rates, which may also qualify for certain Ohio state income tax deductions. These accounts would be opened for the purpose of the down payment or closing costs of a home purchased in Ohio, with the home becoming their new primary residence.
