Nick Wenning Ceramics to be Displayed in the Anna Bier Art Gallery

GREENVILLE – The Anna Bier Art Gallery invites the community to enjoy a new 3D exhibit featuring ceramic artwork created by artist Nick Wenning of Coldwater, Ohio.

This show will include a variety of pieces including the artist’s beloved Christmas mugs and lighted trees, vases, vessels, and more.

There will be an opening reception held on November 7th at 6:00 pm prior to the Simply Three concert presented by Darke County Center for the Arts. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the artist and have the first chance to purchase holiday pieces for the season. The Anna Bier Art Gallery is located on the second floor of St. Clair Memorial Hall at 215 W. 4th St., Greenville, Ohio.

Just as the primitive man made vessels of clay for daily use, Wenning is driven to create forms that have a purpose. Each functional ceramic vessel is created to be truly one-of-a-kind, standing firmly on its own artistic merit.

While function is always top of mind, the aesthetic of the final composition is his strongest goal. He is inspired by the desire to create a work of art that is both exciting to view and exciting to touch.

Wenning has been teaching and creating art for over 40 years and presently works as a sports photographer for The Daily Standard, a daily newspaper in Celina, Ohio.

Additional opportunities to view this exhibit will be Fridays November 13, 20th, and Dec. 4th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Most of the pieces in the show will be available to purchase with cash or check.
