NEW MADISON – The New Madison Community Fire Department has been awarded a generous grant of $33,000 through the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC). With these funds, the department recently received a delivery of brand-new Genesis battery-powered extraction tools.
These state-of-the-art tools will significantly enhance the team’s ability to respond more quickly and efficiently at extrication scenes. The mobility these tools provide — without the hassle of hydraulic hoses — allows firefighters to move freely, even in challenging environments like fields, ensuring faster response times and improved safety for both the crew and those they serve.
“A huge thank you to BWC for their support, and we’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact these tools will have on our operations,” the department posted on its Facebook page.
