DARKE COUNTY – On Thursday, at approximately 10:24 pm, Darke County Sheriff Deputies, along with Gettysburg Fire and Rescue, responded to the intersection of Arcanum Bears Mill Road and Hartzell Road for a traffic crash with injury involving a motorcycle.
Investigation revealed a 2025 Honda Rebel 1100 Motorcycle, driven by Heather Yount (46) of Arcanum, was traveling Southwest on Arcanum Bears Mill Road. Yount failed to negotiate the curve due to large amounts of loose gravel in the roadway, causing her to lose control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle overturned before going off-road and Yount was ejected from the motorcycle.
She was wearing a DOT-compliant helmet. Yount was transported to Wayne HealthCare for suspected minor injuries.
