Miriam R. Harman age 97, of Versailles passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Versailles Rehab and Healthcare in Versailles.
Miriam was born September 14, 1925, in Darke County, Ohio to the late Leonard and Carrie (Miller) Keeler. In addition to her parents, Miriam was also preceded in death by her husband, John J. Harman on June 29, 2018; and her sister, Dorothy Heighton. Miriam is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, John R. & Krista Harman of Versailles, Steven S. & Amy Harman of Yorkshire and Brent L. & Gayle Harman of Van Wert; grandchildren, Matthew & Brittany Harman, Nicholas Harman, Emily Harman and fiancé Jacob Giere, Steven M. & Rebecca Harman, Jessica & Emanuel Turner, Andrew & Lauren Harman, Joel & Leslie Harman and Jenna & Curtis Wells; and great-grandchildren, Grayson Harman, Norah Harman, Eliza Harman, Braxton Harman, Jolene Harman, Lily Harman, Asa Harman, Eli Harman, Frankie Harman, Maya Turner, Remy Turner, Zoey Turner, Addison Wells, Caroline Wells, Jocelynn Wells, Oakley Harman and Blake Harman; and her brother, Richard Keeler of Tipp City.
Mariam was a graduate of Bradford High School, Wright State University, she worked for 21 years at Versailles School 13 years as a teacher; she was a member of Versailles United Church of Christ where she held various positions she then was a member of Living Waters Church; Coterie Club, the Retired Teachers Associations and she enjoyed reading and sewing.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Kelly Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:00 to 2 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Living Waters Church.
