Mary Esther (Miller) Jay, 98 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 7:34 PM at Village Green, Greenville, Ohio. Mary was born December 17, 1925 in Pitsburg, Ohio, the daughter of the late Leonard Cleo Miller and Hazel Zelma (Brown) Miller.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; Her beloved of over 75 years, Husband Billy Edward Jay. Sisters; Edna Marie Miller, Treva (Paul) Markland, Brothers; Donald Miller, Fred Miller, Sister and Brothers in Law; Bill (Evelyn) Warner, Lloyd Jay, Raymond Jay, Carl Gene Jay, Paul (Betty) Weider, Gary Jay.
Mary is survived by her sons, Beverly (Lynn) Jay. Gilbert (Dianna) Jay. Her Sister in Laws: Donna Miller, Doris Miller, Norma Jay, and Darlene Ryan. Her grandchildren; Daron (Tina) Jay, Tanya (Jay) Blain Coby, Todd Jay. Her Great Grandchildren; Gabriella Jay, Jayla Coby, and Marcos Jay. Mary also leaves behind numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Mary was a member at Faith United Methodist Church for many years and was also a member of the Sunny Side Club. She had a knack for crafting, sewing, crocheting, and making her own angels. She was known to be an excellent cook and her sons boasted about her amazing ability. She also enjoyed coloring and putting together puzzles. She was a wonderful lady and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her!
Private graveside services will be held at a later date for the immediate family at Abbotsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice on behalf of Mary Esther (Miller) Jay.
