Mary Evelyn Brinley, age 91 of Greenville passed away at 4:55 PM Monday November 21, 2022 at the EverHeart Hospice Care Center Greenville, Ohio. Mary was born June 7, 1931 in Darke County and the daughter of the late Ralph and Reba (Slick) Bretz.
She was retired having been employed at Neff Lettering of Greenville, C.W. Rice Manufacturing of Union City and Tri-Village High School in New Madison. Mary enjoyed listening to the big band music, horse racing and visiting with people.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond J. “Doc” Brinley Jr. April 28, 2006. They were married September 18, 1948. Also her son-in-law Michael Rihm in 2010 and sister Nancy Hardymon.
Mary is survived by her children Connie Rihm and Diana (Michael) Floyd of Greenville and Steven (Kelly) Brinley of New Paris; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister JoAnn Mangas of Union City, Indiana; Brother Jim Bretz of Union City, Indiana as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday November 28, 2022 in the Palestine Cemetery Palestine, Ohio with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. There will be no visitation.
