Marjorie Ann Dapore, 91, was the daughter of Walter Hunt and Veronica Eads Hunt.
She is predeceased by them and her brothers Robert Walter and Carroll Eugene, her husband James Daniel Dapore, and her daughter Renee Alison Dapore-Schwartz.
She is survived by daughter Ann Kathryn Dapore (Kevin O’Brien) and their son James Steven Victor O’Brien, her son-in-law Sam Dapore-Schwartz, her sister Marianna Hunt, and nieces and nephews Elaine Fagan, Steve Hunt, Victoria Wright, Karen Acerra-Aguirre, Ned Hunt, and Todd Hunt.
After her marriage in 1953, Marjorie came to Versailles and was employed by the Versailles Savings & Loan. Before her retirement she achieved the position of vice president. Marge was active in the Versailles Council of Churches, where she served as both treasurer and president. Additionally, she managed the local food pantry for many years.
Marjorie Ann loved her home in Versailles and enjoyed being the center of planning and decorating for every family occasion. She was passionate about celebrations of Poultry Days, Halloween, and Christmas. Marge was creative, funny, smart, loving, and compassionate. She touched many lives.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, March 28, between 6 and 7 PM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider making a donation to the Habitat for Humanity of Miami and Shelby Counties.
