DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Commissioners and Fort GreeneVille Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) recognized Darke County Vietnam Veterans with a proclamation proclaiming March 29, 2025, as Vietnam War Veterans’ Day in Darke County.
“I have a true respect of Vietnam Veterans,” said Darke County Commissioner Marshall Combs, a US Marine Corps veteran. “I looked up to many of those gentlemen when I was a young guy looking to join the military. You paved the way for the next generation of Marines, Soldiers, Airmen, and Sailors, and we appreciate you.”
“You all have our respect, love, and prayers,” said DAR Chaplain Karen Burkett. “Thank you all for what you have done and our soldiers for what they are doing.”
“I would like to thank the Darke County Commissioners and Fort GreeneVille Daughters of the American Revolution for recognizing our Darke County Vietnam veterans,” said Darke County Veterans Service Commissioner and Vietnam veteran Gaylen Blosser. “Thank you to all our Vietnam Veterans for their service to America.”
