GREENVILLE – Main Street Greenville will host its 2026 Artisan Stroll on Friday, August 7, beginning at 5 p.m. along historic South Broadway in downtown Greenville. The free, family-friendly evening invites the community to shop one-of-a-kind handmade goods, meet the local artists and makers behind them, enjoy food trucks and take part in a new art contest built around this year’s theme: “Be Real, Be You.”
The “Be Real, Be You” art contest invites participating makers to display the single piece that best captures their authentic voice and personal style — the work that feels most like them, rather than what’s trendy or expected. Judges will name a Best in Show winner, who will receive a custom engraved plaque, alongside a “Be Real, Be You” Award for the entry that most embodies the theme and a People’s Choice award chosen by event visitors. Winners will also receive prize packages donated by local sponsors and a feature on Main Street Greenville’s social media.
“The Artisan Stroll is about celebrating the people who make our downtown special — the artists, the makers, and the small businesses that give Greenville its character,” said Lucas Jackson, who chairs this year’s event. “‘Be Real, Be You’ felt like exactly the right theme. We’re asking our makers to show us the work that feels most like them, and we’re inviting the whole community to come out, shop local, and see what our neighbors create.”
