GREENVILLE – Recently, Greenville Police Chief Ryan Benge honored the retired Lieutenant Donald Booker by presenting him with a GPD Lieutenant badge. Lieutenant Booker, a 1940 graduate of Ansonia High School, dedicated 30 years of his life to serving Greenville, working as a police officer from 1948 to 1978.
At nearly 103 years old, Lieutenant Booker still fondly recalls his experiences, including responding to bar fights on Broadway during the 1960s and 1970s. His legacy continues to be celebrated by GPD, where he remains a respected and cherished part of our history, exemplifying a lifetime of service and commitment to the community.
Thank you for your service, Lieutenant Booker!
