Recent messages that I have seen on Facebook and shared with friends/readers have really gotten me to think about the next step in life.
With the recent death of my brother, Ron, I have become the oldest grandchild on the Moody side of the family.
I really didn’t feel old up until now, but I know it was getting close with all of the aches and pains I feel in my body. I don’t feel so sorry for myself because there are others who are going through similar maladies….some of which are much worse.
Here are the messages I shared:

See why life is looking a little dimmer now? But I’m doing my best to make the most of my life here on out, not only for me but for my son, Jamie.
In the meantime, I will accept the graying hair, the wrinkly skin and whatever else life throws at me. I want to stay healthy in so many ways and enjoy my ability to continue driving, work crossword puzzles, have fun with friends and family, maintain my memory and never lose my sense of humor. That is all I ask for.
Besides, I am looking forward to our special class reunion next year. Don’t ask what year I graduated. That does not matter. Time flies when you’re having fun. That’s what I’ve always heard.
