Life’s Reflections: Things looking up for this family

294

Life has returned to normal as much as normal can be for son Jamie and myself.

We are back in our apartment which now features a beautiful bathroom.

It doesn’t take much to entertain us, so we’re happy and Jamie is no longer homesick.
We started downsizing several months ago and plan to continue down that path here on out.

Jamie had better keep up his end of the bargain.

Boy, hasn’t the summer been hot? Love the air conditioning and so grateful for it.
It makes life more bearable.

We’ve been enjoying watching the Cincinnati Reds this year, and love them even if they don’t always win.

They’re very entertaining and successful at their “work” most of the time.

The Darke County Fair is fast approaching and I am still wondering if I should try to go out there and work this year for even one or two days. I hate to have my co-workers doing all of the work but I have to be careful with my own health as well.

I will try, however, to work on my walking and balance more in the days ahead so maybe I can comply.

This coming Saturday will mark the eighth anniversary of our father’s passing. It doesn’t seem like it’s been that long at times. Sure do miss him and Mom. They met at the Great Darke County Fair in the 1940s.

That’s one of the reasons I love that annual festival.
Have a great week!
