ANSONIA—The Ansonia American Legion hosted its second annual Not So New Newlywed Game, with 16 couples competing this year.
Scott Fledderer emceed the game show, while Angie Minnich served as score keeper.
The game was played in four groups of four.
The top winners in each division were Troy and Janet Kammer, married 29 years; Austin and Amanda James, wed two years; Tess and Shane Clark, together 15 years and married eight years; and, in the fourth round, Amy and O.J. Mills tied with Julie and Kent Kimmel, splitting the prize money.
According to Minnich, the winners in each division were presented $100 each.
The Clarks and the Kammers tied for the most points of all of the couples, it was noted.
Others competing were Kami and TJ Phillips, Johnny and Mandy Strosnider, Scott and Sophie Nieport, Kelly and Jason Menchhofer, Dan and Lisa Lockhart, and Allison Dynes and friend Mike Bohman, Darrin and Olivia Mumaw, Theresa and Tyler Fritz, Christine and Travis Shinn, Jerry and Jean Young and Bruce and Jen Feltz.
During the game night, it was announced that Bob and Diane Christian, who were in the audience, were celebrating 53 years of marriage
