Lester Eugene Beisner, 91, of Greenville, passed away at 7:45 am Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.

Lester was born March 16, 1934, to the late Clarence and Nellie (North) Beisner. Lester was also preceded in death by his brother; James Beisner; sister Betty Strobel; and sister-in-law Vera Beisner.

Lester is survived by his wife, Delores Mary (DeMange) Beisner, whom he married on June 25, 1955; daughter Susan Etter of Troy; sons, Ronald (Sherri) Beisner of Greenville; Michael (Pam) Beisner of Versailles; Steven (Heidi) Beisner of New Port Richey, Florida. Grandchildren, Josh (Jordan) Etter of Brookville; Adam (Grace) Etter of Columbus; Jessica Etter of Hermosa Beach, California; Benjamin Beisner of Twinsburg; Christopher (Marissa) Beisner of Oregonia; Daniel (Candance) Beisner of Springboro; Ryan (Jessica) Beisner of Versailles; Renee (Gary) Burns of New Bremen; Russ (Roxy) Beisner of Versailles; Thomas (Monique) Beisner of Chapel Hill, NC; Betsy (Joe) Clay of Lexington, KY; Mackenzie Beisner and Madison Beisner of New Port Richey, Florida; Colby (Samantha) Tuttle of Largo, Florida; Brittany Tuttle of New Port Richey, Florida; 25 great-grandchildren; Brother, William Beisner; Sister-in-law Jackie Beisner; and Brother-in-law Carl Strobel.

Lester was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Lester worked at Corning Glass Works in Greenville, starting when the factory was built in 1957 until his retirement in 1996. Lester was also an active member of the Gettysburg Fire Dept. for many years and a member of the Gettysburg Lions Club. Lester was also a 10-gallon blood donor.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at St. John Lutheran Church 7418 State Route 121 Greenville with Pastor Alliyah Blakeley officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery, Greenville.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville and Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am at church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Association of Darke County.
