Mississinawa Valley gets balanced scoring in non-conference win over Fort Recovery

UNION CITY – The Mississinawa Lady Blackhawks defeated the Fort Recovery Lady Indians 50-33 in non-conference action.

The Lady Hawks jumped out to an early 5-0 lead on their way to a 12-5 score after one period of play.

Fort Recovery battle back in the second to even the score before the Lady Hawks would settle for a 22-19 halftime advantage.

Mississinawa Valley doubled up on the Lady Indians 10-5 in period No. 3 to lead 32-24 with one period to play.

The Lady Blackhawks once again doubled its offensive output, 18-9 over Fort Recovery in the fourth quarter to earn an impressive 17 point win over the visiting Lady Indians.

With the win Mississinawa improves to 2-1 overall on the new season.
