Joyful Jets 4-H Club holds June meeting

ARCANUM – On June 11, 2024, the Joyful Jets 4-H Club met at Trinity Methodist Church in Arcanum for a regularly scheduled 4-H meeting. Reporter, Isaac Wiant, called the meeting to order and led the pledges and motto. Advisor, Sarah Rock, did a roll call and read minutes from the previous meeting. Isaac Wiant gave the Treasurer’s Report.

In Old Business, help is needed for Farm Power of the Past to put up signs on either July 10 at 6 pm or to pick up trash on July 15 at 9 am at the fairgrounds. Club shirts for 25 years should be ready by the July meeting. In New Business, members interested in being on the Booth Committee need to see Sarah, booth set-up will be on Aug. 12 at 4:30 pm in the Youth Building at the fairgrounds. Club project judging will be done at the July meeting, this is required for all members. County project judging will be on July 12 starting at 9:00 am at the Radiant Lighthouse, this is optional for members. Junior Fair entries need to be completed online to help determine barn space. Sarah shared the Skillathon dates, Pullorum testing will be June 19 or July 24 from 6-9 pm in the Horseshoe Building at the fairgrounds. Online sale signup needs to be completed by July 10.

Brayden Freeman and Kennedy Freeman did public speaking. June birthdays were recognized and the meeting was adjourned. Members enjoyed refreshments provided by the Enicks and Freeman families.
