Janet Marie Petry, age 87, of Dayton & formerly of Arcanum, passed away at 9:20 pm Monday, March 24, 2025, at Spring Hills Singing Woods in Dayton.
Janet was born December 5, 1937, in Darke County to the late Kenneth P. & Elnora (Teaford) Shuttleworth. In addition to her parents, Janet was also preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Lee Petry, on January 9, 2016, whom she married September 21, 1957, infant grandson, Jeremy Petry; and brothers, Gene and Paul Shuttleworth.
Janet is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law in law: Mark & Rebecca Petry of Eaton, Bruce & Sheila Petry of Clayton, Paul & Leanne Petry of Bellbrook, & Phillip Petry of Greenville; grandchildren, Christopher Petry, Jesse Petry, Danniele Petry, and Alexander Petry; and four great-grandchildren.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Dayton National Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
