Janet A. Turner age 95, of Greenville passed away at 12:04 am Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Brookdale Senior Living under the care of EverHeart Hospice.
Janet was born May 28, 1929, in North Star, Ohio, to the late Henry & Minnie (Barga) Liette. Janet is also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wayne Turner whom she married November 8, 1947; and eight siblings, Harold Liette, Robert Liette, Luke Liette, Charles Liette, George Liette, Jacob Liette, Mary Elizabeth Bromagem and Carolyn Read.
Janet is survived by her three children, Thomas (Carolyn) Turner of Charlotte, North Carolina, Barbara (John) Riley of Bellbrook, Ohio, and Richard (Judy) Turner of Worthington, Ohio; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Norma Rammel and Nadine Turner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Janet retired from Honeywell Corporation in Greenville after 30 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She loved her family, her home, holidays, roses, cut flowers, reading and bowling.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, July 18, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 233 West Third Street Greenville with Rev. Fr. Matt Feist celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery, Greenville. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home.
