James S. Castle age 94, of Ansonia passed away at 1:04 pm Saturday, June 29, 2024, at EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
Jim was born May 10, 1930, in Wise County, Virginia, to the late Loy Samuel & Janie (Salyers) Castle. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn (Midlam) Castle; brothers, Willard and Curtis Castle; and sister, Nina Collett.
Jim left behind numerous nieces and nephews from both sides of the family who loved him very much.
Jim loved building houses, he built several in and around Ansonia. Jim & Carolyn owned and operated Castles Corner in Ansonia for many years. It was good food and pleasant surroundings. Jim will surely be missed by family and friends.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Greenville Township Memorial Garden. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville.
