DARKE COUNTY – On Thursday at approximately 9:07 AM Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Fire, Greenville Township Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the 8800 block of US 127 in reference to a two-vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a black 2002 Chevy Trailblazer, driven by Robert L. Elisech (39) of New Castle, Ind. was traveling northbound on US 127 when he traveled left of the centerline striking a white 2024 Autocar Rumpke truck head-on.
The Rumpke driver, Jaimes E. Miller was inside the stationary truck while in the course of his duties at the time of the accident.
Elisech was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by the Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) where he is listed in stable condition. Miller was transported to Wayne HealthCare with minor injuries.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
