PREBLE COUNTY – Investigators from the Preble County Sheriff’s Office and the Preble County Coroner’s Office are currently investigating the discovery of human skeletal remains near Lewisburg.
Investigators arrived at a property in the 7700 block of Eaton Lewisburg Road on Tuesday night at approximately 8:15 P.M. after being notified by subjects who were on the property, and found what they believed to be skeletal remains.
The remains were located in a small building on the property and are believed to be those of a male and to have been there for some time. The property is unoccupied. The remains were transported to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office, where they were examined today.
Investigators are working to identify the remains and how long they may have been on the property.
The case remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, the Coroner’s Office and the Preble County Prosecutor’s Office.
