791

We are excited to share the progress of the stall renovation project.

Barn 3 is nearing completion and has approx. Seventy stalls, not including tack rooms and bath stalls. It is the biggest racehorse barn of the six on the grounds. Barn 3 should be completed in a few days, and then renovation will start on Barn 4.

The Darke Co. Harness Horsemen Assoc. and the Darke Co. Agricultural Society would like to thank the following financial sponsors: Jafe, Gower & Sons Painting, American Legion Post 140, The Cowboy Grill, Wayne Builders, W. C. Sherry, Sharp’s Tavern, Barbara Fletcher, Dick Brown, Jim Buchy, Wieland Jewelry, H.A. Dorsten, Weyrick’s Peat Moss, First Choice Reality, Park National Bank, J &M Ranch, Co-Alliance, Darke County Veterinary Service, Nutrien, Darke Co. Agricultural Society Board of Directors, Greg Luther Racing and the Ohio Harness Horsemen Association.

DCHHA President Tim Reck headed up the stall renovation project. Many thanks to Tim for all his efforts in fundraising, planning, and implementation.

Also, a big shout out to Greg Luther for his generous contribution. Greg’s donation is in memory of his grandfather, John Robinson. Greg and his grandfather both raced out of barn 3 in Greenville for several years, and it holds great memories for Greg.
