“It is an honor to be named coach of the year, caught me by surprise,” said Coach Bowers. “A lot of great coaches in the MVL that I have a lot of respect for. To me, it is just proof we are doing things the right way, and it is always nice when others acknowledge and recognize those efforts. It is just a testament to having an opportunity to coach great kids, from great families & being a part of a great community here in Greenville.”

“Best part of finishing top 3 in MVL is the opportunity to get more recognition for kids who deserve it. I wish our entire team could get the recognition because it has been such a great year all around, with team and individual records to back that up.”

“Mason Pierri making First Team All MVL for the second season, well deserved. Excited to see what he can do in a postseason run. He is one of the best players in the MVL, so he deserves the recognition.”

“I was happy to see Drew Beisner / Avery Yount get the recognition deserved as well, they are one of the best doubles teams in our conference, and had a fantastic regular season. They are tough to beat, and their record displays that.”

“On the second team, I was happy to see Kaitlin Combs and Silas Lacey be recognized as well,” Bowers continued. “They were an extremely high-level doubles team. Both are really solid tennis players and came together to help our team this year, playing doubles for the first time. They put together a great season and won us a few team matches that came down to their position as well. Really came to rely on them to win matches, and they always came through.”
