Greenville Whirlpool is prepping for the KitchenAid pop-up shop here on Martin Street.
Cassie Cable, who works in communications at Greenville Whirlpool, and Lessie Cable were working on painting the KitchenAid logo in the window and prepping the shop front.
Cassie Cable and Greenville Whirlpool are very excited to use this storefront for the pop-up shop this year. The space is a lot bigger than what has been used in previous years. This gives them more space for products, customers, and the nonprofits Whirlpool is sponsoring this year.
The nonprofits that will be funded this year will be at the Pop-Up to advertise themselves and to show who Whirlpool is benefiting this year.
“Whirlpool Corporation is a socially responsible company,” Cassie said. “We try to make sure that we give back to communities that we live in. We are very happy and thankful that we are able to do this and support our local community.”
In 2021 and 2022, Greenville Whirlpool Operations donated proceeds to the Greenville North Park to fund resurfacing and renovating their basketball court and adding a pickleball court. They also donated to Greenville High School, they donated snacks, school supplies, and items customized to the needs of the GHS Curriculum, along with a sensory station that aids special needs students to relax and stay calm. They also made a donation of sleeping bags, blankets, hygienic/ household cleaning products, feminine products, food items, and more to aid their initiative to the Darke County Women’s Shelter.
The KitchenAid popup shop is always a hit during Annie Oakley days. Greenville Whirlpool is excited for this year.
Here is Whirlpool’s statement on the event.
“For the third consecutive year, Whirlpool Corporation’s Greenville operations invite you to purchase discounted KitchenAid products to raise dough for Darke County!
The KitchenAid Pop-Up Shop will be located at 365 Martin Street, Greenville – between the old Marsh building and My County Link, right off of Broadway. The shop is open on Thursday, July 27, and Friday, July 28, from 8 AM – 5 PM, as well as Saturday, July 29, from 8 AM – 3 PM.
2023 proceeds from this year’s Annie Oakley Sale will be donated back to Darke County once again!
“The KitchenAid Pop-Up Shop is a yearly opportunity for Whirlpool Corporation to positively impact and collaborate with our local community,” said Renato Esteves, Greenville plant lead. “Many people come to our temporary store during the sidewalk sales, not only to purchase our iconic KitchenAid small appliances but also to contribute back to Darke County.”
2021 & 2022 Past Donations from the KitchenAid Pop-Up Shop Proceeds
The 2023 KitchenAid Annie Oakley Pop-Up Shop comes on the heels of the success of last year’s pop-up, where Greenville operations donated items to Greenville High School, Darke County Women’s Shelter, and Food4Families (over 2,500 food pantry custom boxes).”
