GREENVILLE – The Green Wave hosted a Tuesday night tri-meet with the Troy Trojans and the Butler Aviators, with Greenville coming out on top in both the boys and girls events.

“We have tri-meets for the kids that don’t get to go to invites,” said Greenville coach Bill Plessinger. “This is one of our home meets, so our kids do a lot of events because we are at home.”
Greenville coach Bill Plessinger was pleased with his young team’s results in the meet as they prepare for Friday night’s Greenville Invitational at Jennings Track & Field Center.
“Friday night, three of the best boys’ high school track teams in Ohio will be here,” said Coach Plessinger. “In Division I, it’s Butler and Wayne. Wayne is defending State Runner-Up, which is definitely favored to win the state championship this year. Butler won Division II indoors and Division I outdoors. They have a chance to give Wayne a run for their money. Then the defending Division III State Champion Marion Local Flyers are here, and we have a Coldwater girl that runs 24-something and long jumps 17-18 feet, so there will be some excellent competition here Friday night.”
