SPRINGFIELD – On Saturday, the Greenville varsity boys’ tennis team traveled to Springfield for a round-robin, four-team tournament, which included Springfield, Finneytown, and Tippecanoe B. The team returned home in first place.
“We had a lot of great individual performances today, leading to a great team finish overall,” said Coach Sam Bowers. “Love seeing this team compete.”
Greenville senior Mason Pierri took home first place in first singles, Hudson Pierri added a first-place finish in third singles, and Drew Beisner / Avery Yount earned a first-place finish in first doubles. The doubles team of Silas Lacey / Shane Gilman took home second place in second doubles.
“These tournaments are a great way to get experience for these styles/formats before our league tournament and post-season play,” Coach Bowers noted.
