DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County equine 4-H clubs, Trails and Tails and Buckeye Buckaroos, are teaming up with the Darke County Fairboard to host an exciting new event series to raise funds for a covered arena at the fairgrounds.
The series, titled “Hump Day Barrels,” will include five Wednesday night shows on the following dates:
June 11, June 25, July 2, July 30, and August 6
Each event will feature barrel racing and pole bending competitions across four age divisions:
Pee-Wee (8 & under)
Juniors (9–13)
Seniors (14–18)
Adults (19 & up)
At the end of the series, championship buckles, along with 2nd and 3rd place prizes, will be awarded to the high-point winner in each division, offering bragging rights and a keepsake to commemorate their achievement.

In addition to the racing action, 50/50 drawings will be held at every show, giving the public a chance to participate and support the cause.
