Greenville tennis tops Butler Aviators

GREENVILLE – The Greenville varsity tennis team defeated the Butler Aviators 4-1 in MVL action, improving to 3-2 on the season.

“Great team win, with it being our fourth match of the week and after back-to-back days playing the top-level competition (Tipp and West Milton),” said Greenville coach Sam Bowers. “Anytime you get a league win, it’s a good day. )

Winning for Greenville in singles were Mason Pierri 6-1, 6-4 and Eli Willis 6-4,6-2.

Winners in doubles were Drew Beisner / Avery Yount 6-3, 6-1 and Kaitlin Combs / Silas Lacey 6-1, 6-2.

“Proud of our team after a long week of matches,” Coach Bowers stated. “We continue to show up to compete and improve every day, even when Mother Nature tries to keep us from playing.”
