Greenville tennis sweeps Northridge 5-0

GREENVILLE – The Greenville varsity boys tennis team defeated the Northridge Polar Bears 5-0 to improve to 9-5 on the season under the direction of Coach Sam Bowers.

“Dominate win against a team we will see as part of our Sectional tournament,” said Coach Bowers. “It is good to see what the competition will be like when we are there and get some confidence going into finishing our season.”

Mason Pierri, Kaitlin Combs, and Daniel Kerns won their singles matches and the doubles teams of Silas Lacey / Drew Beisner and Avery Yount / Eli Willis won at doubles to give Greenville the non-conference sweep.

Greenville has its final home match with Senior Night activities on Thursday, May 2 with the Troy Trojans starting at 4:30 p.m.
