GREENVILLE – The Greenville boys’ tennis team picked up a home win by defeating the Northmont Bolts 4-1 to improve to 5-3 on the season.

“Great win against a solid GWOC team,” said Greenville coach Sam Bowers. “The Pierri’s both looked dominant, and our doubles teams both played really well against good competition and faced some adversity and finished strong.

Greenville won in singles with Mason Pierri winning (6-0, 6-0) and Hudson Pierri earning (6-1, 6-1) wins.

In doubles, the Green Wave won with Kaitlin Combs / Silas Lacey (6-4, 6-2) and Drew Beisner / Avery Yount (6-1, 3-6, 7-5).

“It’s the type of matchup that will make us better as we move along,” Coach Bowers stated. “We expect to stack some wins together through the home stretch, and tonight was the start of that.”
