NARCOTICS
June 21, 2025 – At approximately 2:40 p.m., I was dispatched to Hunter Oaks apartments, 1199 Russ Road Apt. B1 in the City of Greenville in reference to a possible overdose.
Prior to my arrival, I was advised Narcan was given to the subject later identified as William
Taylor, who then became aware and was okay.

The complainant, Melody Phillips, advised that William’s girlfriend, Kayla Drake, checked on William and screamed for help, where she then called 911. Kayla administered a dose of 4 mg of Narcan to William. Melody advised that William had just lost his job and is using drugs often. Melody stated she did not see him use anything. William was checked out by Greenville Rescue, where William signed a refusal to go to the hospital.
I spoke to apt manager, Kilie, who was advised of multiple people living in the apartment as well as the possible drug activity going on in the apartment.
THEFT
June 22, 2025 – At approximately 3:48 a.m., I was dispatched to the area of 726 Gardenwood Drive, in reference to a theft in progress. I was advised by dispatch that a resident at 726 observed a male on camera attempting to get into a vehicle in their driveway and then walk across the street to attempt to get into more vehicles. I arrived in the area and observed a black sedan driving northbound on Holly Hill Drive near Primrose Drive with no lights turned on. I asked dispatch if the complainant could still see the subject actively in the driveway across the street, as it seemed suspicious that a vehicle was driving around the area blacked out. Dispatch advised that the complainant stated they could still see the subject on camera. I proceeded to the area of 726 Gardenwood and was advised by the complainant that the subject took off towards North Broadway prior to our arrival.
I went back to the area of Holly Hill Drive and Primrose Drive where I originally saw the blacked-out vehicle. While northbound on Holly Hill Drive, I observed a black SUV sitting in the middle of the roadway running on Primrose Drive. The driver of the vehicle turned on the left turn signal, then shut it back off. I drove toward the vehicle and the driver turned the turn signal on and off again while remaining at a complete stop in the middle of the road. It appeared to me that whoever was driving the vehicle didn’t know how to work it properly and kept accidentally hitting the turn signal. As I got closer to the vehicle, the driver suddenly took off westbound towards North Broadway. The vehicle quickly sped up to around 35 mph, in a 25 mph zone, and was driving nearly on the opposite side of the road, and appeared to be trying to get away from me quickly. I initiated my overhead lights as I suspected the vehicle to be stolen at this time. As soon as I initiated my overhead lights, the driver of the vehicle fled, running the stop sign at Primrose Drive and North Broadway before traveling southbound on North Broadway at speeds around 90mph in the marked 35mph zone. The driver of the vehicle ran the stop sign at North Broadway and North Main Street and proceeded southeast on South Broadway. I activated my audible siren as the driver continued at speeds over 90mph on South Broadway near Water Street. I could see him approaching the traffic circle as I was coming up to Water Street. I observed the vehicle hit the traffic circle and go airborne. As I got closer to the traffic circle, I could see that the vehicle had crashed into the building of 300 S Broadway, knocking the doors of the building completely down and causing significant damage to the building itself.
As I approached the vehicle, I could see the driver exiting the driver’s side. I immediately pulled my firearm from the holster and began giving verbal commands for the driver to show me his hands and to get on the ground. The driver complied with the orders and advised us that no one else was in the vehicle when asked. Officer Ward checked the vehicle and ensured no other occupants were inside. The driver was placed into handcuffs without incident, which were double locked and gap checked. Greenville Township Rescue and the Greenville Fire Department were called to the scene immediately after placing the driver in custody. No other occupants were located in the vehicle. The vehicle, bearing registration LONNIEJ, returned to a 2023 black Jeep Cherokee to Lonnie Subler at 1351 Holly Hill Drive.
I read the driver his Miranda rights and asked him what his name was. The driver advised that his name was Jeremiah Mallory and that he was born May 23rd, 2007. I asked Jeremiah where he got the vehicle, and he stated he didn’t know. I asked Jeremiah if the vehicle was his, and he stated it was not. Jeremiah was transported to Wayne Hospital by Greenville Township Rescue, and Officer Ward followed the rescue to the hospital. Photos of the vehicle, as well as photos of the damage to the traffic circle and the building of 300 S Broadway, were captured. The vehicle was towed by Aces Towing to our impound lot on Hart Avenue to be processed.
Darke County was able to send a deputy to the area where the vehicle was stolen and made contact with the owner. Mr. Subler confirmed the vehicle was stolen and stated he wanted to pursue charges. A black 2015 Kia, bearing registration JZV6589 and returning to Kaylee Oharold out of Dayton, was located in front of 1351 Holly Hill Drive. The Kia also appeared to be stolen as the rear passenger side window was smashed and the steering column was peeled off. Darke County deputies remained with that vehicle while we finished processing the scene at the circle. I responded to the hospital prior to that vehicle being towed; however, I was advised later that it was towed by Saunders Towing to our impound lot as well to be processed. A photo of a video was obtained from the original complainant on Gardenwood Drive and clearly shows Jeremiah on camera in their driveway attempting to gain entry into their vehicle as well.
Jeremiah was transported by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital for injuries he sustained in
the accident. At one point, while at Miami Valley, a Doctor asked him what had happened, and Jeremiah stated he was running from the police and crashed a car. I was also advised by the hospital staff at Wayne Hospital that Jeremiah made statements while speaking to his mother on the phone that he ran because he knew he was already going to jail anyway.
Lonnie Subler was given statement forms, as well as victim rights paperwork to fill out.
Lonnie advised that he was unsure how to send whatever video he did have from his front cameras, but that you could only make out shadows. Follow up from to attempt to gain a copy of the video will be made. Officer Nicholas Colby responded to Miami Valley Hospital to sit with Jeremiah, who was being held on numerous felony charges, including Failure to comply with the order or signal of a P.O. 2921. 331B F3, and Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle 2913.02A1 F4. Further charges regarding the stolen Kia will be pending further investigation.
VANDALISM
June 13, 2025 – At 5:46 a.m., I was dispatched to 1373 North Chippewa Drive, Greenville, Ohio 45331, in reference to a vandalism complaint. Upon my arrival, I met with Gaige Barnett, complainant/victim, and the following was found.
On June 12, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Barnett came home to his residence, 1373 North Chippewa Drive. Barnett’s 2006 Ford Mustang, blue, bearing Ohio registration KNV5885 and VIN: 1Z VFT80N365249607, was parked facing westbound, directly at the rear of Barnett’s apartment, in a shared parking lot located on the east side of the apartment complex.
On June 13, 2025, between 1:30 and 5:30 a.m., while Barnett was sleeping, an unknown person(s) utilized an unknown instrument to shatter the driver’s door window, along with causing a dent and chipped paint on the left rear quarter panel of Barnett’s 2006 Ford Mustang.
While searching the area, I located a hammer with a wooden handle and rubber grip in a gravel area next to 1369 North Chippewa Drive, which is in close proximity to the location of Barnett’s vehicle. The rubber grip had separated from the wooden handle and was found lying on the ground near the location where the hammer was. Note: The size of the dent to the left rear quarter panel of the involved vehicle is consistent with the size of the hammer’s face.
I took digital images depicting the exterior of and damage to the involved 2006 Ford Mustang. I also took digital images of the hammer and rubber grip prior to collecting the items as evidence. The digital images were sent to the Greenville Police Department’s records division for proper storage. I packaged the hammer, along with the rubber grip, in an evidence bag and submitted the evidence to the Greenville Police Department’s property room.
While canvassing the area, I did locate a Ring doorbell camera, located at the rear of 1371 North Chippewa Drive, next to Barnett’s apartment. According to the residents of 1371 North Chippewa, the Ring doorbell camera only depicts live video and does not have the ability to record video. There are no other surveillance cameras in the vicinity of where Barnett’s was parked.
Barnett voluntarily completed a written witness statement and a victim’s rights form. At the time of the initial report, Barnett indicated Mason Lanham may be a possible suspect in this criminal mischief case, as Barnett and Lanham have recently experienced personal conflict, but during a follow-up conversation with Barnett on June 14, 2025, Barnett indicated Lanham is no longer considered a suspect. During the follow-up conversation, Barnett did state that Jaden Burton, who currently resides in Sidney, Ohio, may be a possible suspect. Burton is the ex-boyfriend of Barnett’s current girlfriend, Madison Miller. At this time, there is no direct evidence indicating that Burton is responsible for the criminal damage to Barnett’s vehicle.
I will confer with Detective Mike Dickmann and, if necessary, the Bureau of Criminal Investigations, in reference to processing the hammer’s rubber grip for latent prints.
On June 16, 2025, I spoke to Patrol Officer Trevor Robbins, Sidney, Ohio Police Department. PO Robbins stated on June 15, 2025, Gaige Barnett reported a criminal mischief incident to the Sidney Police Department involving Jaden Burton damaging a car window of a vehicle owned by Michael Barnett.
Gaige Barnett was in the drive-thru lane of Culver’s Restaurant in Sidney when Burton approached Barnett’s vehicle and shattered a window with a rock. Sidney Police contacted Burton and Burton declined an interview without his attorney being present.
PO Robbins further stated that there are two other documented incidents involving Gaige Barnett damaging vehicle windows in Sidney. On January 16, 2025, Jaden Burton reported that the rear window to his 2007 Toyota HB was shattered. Barnett posted a video on Facebook, where Barnett video recorded Burton’s shattered window and made the comment ‘this is what you get bitch’. The second incident occurred on January 24, 2025, where Barnett and Burton agreed to fight in a park in Sidney. At the fight, Barnett utilized a hammer to shatter a window in a vehicle belonging to Burton’s cousin. PO Robbins further stated that Madison Miller’s mother agreed to pay for the damaged window, in lieu of Barnett receiving criminal charges. It is apparent that the feud between Barnett and Burton has been ongoing, with both parties being equal participants.
PO Robbins did check the Flock cameras for traffic exiting/entering Sidney on June 13, 2025, from 0100 to 0630 hours. PO Robbins indicated there were no vehicles belonging to Burton and/or known associates of Burton, depicted on the Flock cameras during the given times.
