GREENVILLE – It was a proud and inspiring afternoon on Saturday, May 23, 2026, as Worshipful Master Ron C. Nischwitz Sr. and Past Master John Burkett of Greenville Masonic Lodge #143 presented two $1,000 college scholarships to two outstanding Greenville High School students, Miss Kindyl Peltz and Mr. Laine Flora.
The room carried a sense of excitement, gratitude, and genuine community pride — a feeling that something meaningful was unfolding not only for these students, but for all of Darke County.
A Lodge Making a Real Difference
Greenville Masonic Lodge #143 continues to demonstrate that when a community stands together, good things happen. Freemasonry rests upon the pillars of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth — and those principles are alive and active in Darke County.
This year’s scholarships were made possible through a community‑supported ¼ Beef & Deep Freezer Raffle, an effort that brought neighbors, families, and local supporters together in a shared mission: investing in the future of our youth.
Every ticket purchased… Every dollar raised… Every act of support… became part of the Light the Lodge is committed to sharing.
And the momentum is only growing.
Service at the Heart of the Craft
This scholarship presentation is more than a ceremony — it is a living expression of a core Masonic truth: When we lift others, we elevate the entire community.
Through food drives, charitable outreach, and educational support, Greenville Lodge #143 continues to strengthen the bonds of unity and hope throughout Darke County. This is Freemasonry in action — not in words, but in deeds.
A Message of Light
“A city set upon a hill cannot be hid. So too must the Lodge shine—lest the Light within grow dim. To remain viable, we must be visible: in our works, our words, and our witness.” — Ron C. Nischwitz Sr.
And shine it does. Through generosity, through service, and through the steady work of good men doing good things, Greenville Masonic Lodge #143 is helping build a stronger, brighter Darke County — one act of kindness at a time.
