Greenville man accused of molesting child in Randolph County

WINCHESTER, Ind. – Felony charges were filed with the Randolph County Circuit Court on Wednesday, accusing Bryant Q. Barnes (36) of Greenville of Child Molestation, a Level 1 felony, and Child Solicitation, a Level 5 felony.

According to court records, Barnes repeatedly forced a female child, who was then a 6-year-old elementary school student, to perform sexual acts in 2015. At that time, he resided in Winchester, Ind., where the alleged crimes occurred.

In August 2024, Barnes was reportedly scheduled to meet with Winchester Police Detectives for questioning about the allegations, but he never arrived for the interview.

He has not yet been arrested or appeared in court for the alleged crimes. If convicted as charged, Barnes faces up to over 45 years in an Indiana state prison.
